It does at times socially feel harder to function, because well socially expectations, and other things are pretty much made from a neurotypical centric perspective. It's one thing if someone sees it as harder to socialize due to that, but yeah when people refer to autism/aspergers as a mental disability that the individual "suffers" from it's really irritating.
If someone is going to pity me, I'd rather they pity me because I'm stuck in a neurotypical society, not because I'm not neurotypical myself. (I assume that's what this entry was about correct me if I'm mistaken?).
