Well I thought I should write this first because It kind of explains where i am coming from. Firstly I hate the word spirituality, it seems a really wishy washy word that means everything and nothing at the same time and means such different things to different people that it becomes worthless.
So for what its worth what I mean when i use the word "spirituality" is something like "The sum of all we are that makes us more than we are and gives us the need to connect outwards to things other than ourselves"
I think that everyone has a "spirituality" even atheists because all human beings are programmed to need connections, I just think the different between those who have "religions or "spiritual beliefs" is that atheists don’t need a non provable belief structure to hang there connectedness on.
So having said that I don’t on any level at all believe in god/s as an actuality I just need a structure to hang my connectedness on, and build rituals and rites of passage around.
I hate the idea of monolithic gods who make absolute hard and fast rules, who created everything, I much prefer the idea of a pantheon of gods like older religions had who were pretty much just humans writ large.
