"Ugh" was my first thought, too. A very sad ugh. I think I must be one of the few Christians who doesn't believe adoption is a wonderful, God-ordained thing.
When I was a teenager I sold a horse to this annoying woman I knew. The next year the annoying woman adopted a baby from Russia, and stated a price that I couldn't help but notice was the exact same price as the horse. It just seems so disgusting.
